I'm Alive Music Video

This was a music video assignment in my Intro. to Video class at Savannah College of Art and Design. It was one of my most planned-out and pre-visualized film projects ever, and the result was almost an exact reflection of my original vision. In this story, two young women, who have both endured trials in their pasts, meet in college and help each other to start a new life.

This video was edited to Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe's 'I'm Alive'. Written, directed, produced, and edited by Areya Simmons.

The Hero Path

This was my Introduction to Video final during my Freshman year at Savannah College of Art and Design. A jacket passes between four different people, showing how few degrees of separation there are, and how we are all connected. There is also a 'Hero's Journey' undertone.

Areya at the Driving Range - Areya hitting balls at a driving range - Note: This is my real swing.  This ball was not mis-hit, though it may look like it was.  I have a natural curl at the end of my swing.
